This is a cooperation project between Becamex IDC and VSIP Group; at the same time, is the investment attraction agreement project between Binh Dinh province and Binh Duong province started 7 years ago.

On September 27, Becamex Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company (JSC) Binh Dinh started the construction of Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial, Urban, and Service Complex in Canh Vinh commune, Van Canh district. Attending and issuing the order to start construction are Standing Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh; leaders of ministries and central branches; Leaders of Binh Duong and Binh Dinh provinces; and representatives of domestic and foreign enterprises and investors.

According to Mr. Nguyen Phu Thinh, Vice President of Becamex IDC Group, Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial, Urban, and Service Complex has an area of 1,425 ha, located in subdivision 7 of Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, of which, 1,000 hectares are to develop the industrial park and 425 hectares are for residential, commercial – service and resettlement areas… by Becamex IDC and VSIP.

This will be a place to gather a variety of multi-industry industries associated with diverse service constructions such as health centers, education centers, trade centers, hotels, restaurants, shopping centers, entertainment and shopping areas, cultural and public sports centers, social housing. Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial, Urban, and Service Complex is developed, managed, and operated by Becamex Binh Dinh JSC.

“This industrial, urban, and service complex is expected to play as a new nucleus in attracting investment, creating a breakthrough in industrial and service development in Binh Dinh during the new period.

This is a large platform, combined with Becamex’s experiences over the years of cooperation with multinational corporations such as Sembcorp – Singapore, Tokyu Group and NTT Group of Japan, Setia Group of Malaysia, Warburg Pincus investment fund of America in business activities; as well as the construction of green, clean, and beautiful industrial parks; construction of pre-built workshops, traffic infrastructure of high quality; experience in trade promotion, industrial customer care services”, Mr. Thinh shared.

Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial, Urban, and Service Complex is expected to attract about 2 billion USD of investment in industrial production after being put into operation, creating jobs for 120,000 -150,000 workers in the local and surrounding areas. The project will contribute to improving the economic competitive advantage, developing technical infrastructure and social infrastructure for Binh Dinh, and contribute to the State budget of more than VND 400 billion per year.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee Ho Quoc Dung said that in order to implement the commitment to creating the most favorable conditions for the industrial park, Binh Dinh province had urgently newly invested as well as improved and upgraded the traffic infrastructure system connecting Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial, Urban, and Service Complex to Quy Nhon city (The Western Ring Road of the province (DT.638); National Highway 19 connecting Quy Nhon port to the Central Highlands, and the trunk road connecting Nhon Hoi Economic Zone to Phu Cat airport…).

“Up to now, the infrastructure conditions are quite favorable to promote the development of logistics in Binh Dinh. In particular, it is noteworthy that the investment in infrastructure construction is associated with the economic zone and IPs to improve the efficiency of chain production. This is a great opportunity that provides the maximum support for the development of Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial, Urban, and Service Complex”.

Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh said that the Covid 19 pandemic had been more and more complicated, causing extremely huge losses of people and the economy. In this context, the start of Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial, Urban, and Service Complex with a total investment of nearly VND 3,333 billion, in an area of about 1,000 hectares and the inauguration of the route from Nhon Hoi Economic Zone to Phu Cat Airport were the practical activities of Binh Dinh province and investors in the implementation of the Party and the Government’s dual goals in the pandemic fight and the economic development.

In order for the industrial zone to be actually successful, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh proposed leaders of sectors and levels of Binh Dinh province and the people within the Project area to coordinate well with the investor to ensure implementing the project in accordance with the law and on schedule, ensuring quality, safety, efficiency, environmental protection, and social security for local people.

“With years of good friendship cooperation between Binh Dinh and Binh Duong, the internal force and aspiration of Binh Dinh, and the capacity and experience of successfully developing many industrial parks across the country of Becamex and VSIP, these three solid factors will guarantee a good prospect for Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial, Urban, and Service Complex”- Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh emphasized.

Also at the groundbreaking ceremony, there is a ceremony for signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with some potential investors. These MOUs are the expanded investment of domestic and foreign customers who have successfully invested in the industrial parks of Becamex IDC and VSIP in Vietnam.

On the same day, Binh Dinh province organized inaugurating the route connecting Nhon Hoi EZ to Phu Cat airport. This route is designed according to Grade-III road standards for plains with a total length of 20 km, a width of 20.5m, asphalt concrete surface consisting of 4 lanes with a design for 80 km/h, box drainage system, lighting systems, landscape trees; with a total investment of VND 1,825 billion, in which VND 385 billion is from the central budget capital.
