At noon on September 27, in Canh Vinh commune (Van Canh district), Becamex IDC Corporation in collaboration with the Provincial People’s Committee solemnly held the groundbreaking ceremony of Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial, Urban, and Service Complex.

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were the following comrades: Truong Hoa Binh – Politburo member, Standing Deputy Prime Minister of the Government; Tran Tuan Anh – Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Industry and Trade; representatives of leaders of Central ministries and branches; chambers of commerce and foreign diplomatic missions in Vietnam; Tran Van Nam – Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Delegation of the National Assembly of Binh Duong Province; Nguyen Thanh Tung – Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Council of Binh Dinh Province…

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh emphasized, along with the trunk road from Nhon Hoi Economic Zone to Phu Cat airport, Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial, Urban and Service Complex were key and important infrastructure projects, playing a great role in the socio-economic development of Binh Dinh province. The Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated that Becamex Corporation decided to choose Binh Dinh to develop the Becamex VSIP project and the province’s efforts in disbursing public investment capital to complete, inaugurate, and put into use the trunk road from Nhon Hoi Economic Zone to Phu Cat airport. These two extremely important projects will play the core role in promoting the strong development of local industries and services, making an important contribution to the realization of the goals set by the 20th Provincial Party Congress for the coming time.

In order for the industrial zone to be successful, the Deputy Prime Minister proposes leaders of sectors and levels of Binh Dinh province and the people within the Project area to coordinate well with the investor to ensure implementing the project on schedule, ensuring quality, safety, efficiency, environmental protection, and social security for local people. Not only focus on building works of good quality with modern architecture but also pay attention to attracting reputable investors for projects with advanced technology content, high added value, economic efficiency, and great contribution to the budget. In particular, priority will be given to projects that are strongly involved in the global supply chain and apply achievements from the fourth industrial revolution.

The Deputy Prime Minister requests ministries, central branches and agencies to quickly deploy the North-South expressway, the Quang Ngai – Nha Trang section, to simultaneously exploit the common goal of the entire North-South expressway and help Binh Dinh province increase the project’s traffic capacity; to support to expand the scale and open new domestic and international routes of Quy Nhon Seaport and Phu Cat Airport.   

“The successful project contributes not only to the socio-economic development of Binh Dinh but also to the Central region and to the whole country,” said Standing Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Thinh, General Director of Vietnam – Singapore Industrial Park Joint Venture Company Limited (VSIP) said: The Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial, Urban and Service Complex with a total area of more than 1,374 hectares is expected to play as a new nucleus in attracting investment, creating a breakthrough in industrial and service development in Binh Dinh during the coming time. Combined with Becamex’s experience through many years of cooperation with multinational corporations, it will be a solid premise to consolidate the success of the project in Binh Dinh.

Emphasizing the importance of Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial, Urban, and Service Complex, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Ho Quoc Dung affirmed that the project was a great effort of the two Binh Dinh and Binh Duong provinces. “Binh Dinh is determined to put the province in the leading group of the Central region and this is one of the key projects. Therefore, it is recommended that the investor gather resources to accelerate the progress. Agencies and departments within the province area should provide maximum service and support to create the best conditions for investors to comply with the law,” said the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee.

The Investor signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with 9 investors in Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh.
