On the morning of May 13, the Provincial People’s Committee organized a US investment promotion webinar, in order to promote the potential and advantages of Binh Dinh, and directly invite US enterprises to invest in the province.

At the Binh Dinh bridge point, the webinar was chaired by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang; Attending were representatives of leaders of Becamex IDC Corporation and leaders of relevant departments, divisions, and branches of the province, etc. At the US bridge point, there were Mr. Denny Heck, Deputy Governor of Washington State; Mr. Mike Fowler, Senior Advisor and Director of World Trade Center Tacoma Association; representative of Becamex IDC in North America; and more than 100 US enterprises.
Speaking at the Webinar, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang emphasized that over the years, the trade and investment cooperation relationship between Binh Dinh province and the US business community had expanded and deepened. However, the results of attracting investment from US enterprises in Binh Dinh province were still quite “modest”, not commensurate with the potential of cooperation between the two sides. So far, in the whole province, only 3 US enterprises invested in 03 projects in Binh Dinh on a total area of 316.67 hectares, with a total registered investment capital of about 282.11 million USD.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang said that in addition to promoting administrative reform and improving the business investment environment, Binh Dinh province also paid great attention to investment in traffic infrastructure, Nhon Hoi economic zone infrastructure, and industrial parks, including Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh to attract investment. The presence of Becamex IDC Corporation – the leading brand in the field of investment and development of urban infrastructure and industrial zones in Vietnam in Binh Dinh was the most apparent proof of this.
Within the framework of the webinar, there is a Q&A session, which is the content that US investors are most interested in. Questions about investment policies, tax policies, land policies, environmental resources, labor, including the actual development of the Internet of Things, education and health care in Binh Dinh are also of interest to US investors. These questions have been specifically answered by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang.
The coordination in organizing this Webinar is aimed at boosting the promotion of the potential and attracting foreign investment, including the United States, to Binh Dinh province. This is an event that serves as a bridge to meet US businesses who are interested in learning about incentives from State policies as well as investment opportunities in Binh Dinh.
