The Department of Information and Communications (DIC) of Binh Dinh province has just issued a decision to sanction administrative violations against a violator who has collected, processed, and used the information of other organizations and individuals without consent or for wrong purposes as prescribed by law.
Specifically, the violator set up a website using the business name and trademark of the Investment and Industrial Development Corporation – JSC (Becamex IDC) as well as information and images on the website of Becamex IDC for selling real estate.
Previously, on May 25, 2021, Becamex Binh Dinh JSC sent a document to the DIC of Binh Dinh province and Binh Dinh Provincial Police on requesting investigation and handling of a number of violators who have set up a website with the same and similar interface to the official website of Becamex IDC using the name, image, general information, location, area, and site of the project in Canh Vinh commune (Van Canh district, Binh Dinh province) of Becamex Binh Dinh JSC to post information about buying and selling land that is not related to the Company.
The forgery of the above accounts has infringed on the brand and reputation of the business, and at the same time, has had potential risks and affected the interests of customers.
Binh Dinh DIC has coordinated with Binh Dinh Provincial Police to verify and work with violators. At the meeting, the violator admitted his behavior and committed to removing information and images related to the violation. Binh Dinh DIC then issued a decision to sanction the violator an amount of VND 7.5 million for the above behavior.
In the coming time, Binh Dinh DIC will continue to coordinate with related units to inspect and review websites and accounts on the Facebook social network that infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and individuals to handle in accordance with the law.
