Binh Dinh province is calling for investment and business cooperation in fields where Korea has strengths such as electronic components production, auto ancillary industry, industrial park infrastructure, energy, tourism, high-tech agriculture, etc.
Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee, said that many ODA projects funded by the Korean Government were and have been implemented within this province. Up to now, there have been 4 investment projects from Korean enterprises in Binh Dinh with a total registered capital of nearly 100 million USD in the fields of energy, apparel, etc.
According to Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Phi Long, the province has been building 9 industrial parks and 63 industrial clusters. In particular, Binh Dinh is focusing on developing the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone with an area of over 14,500 hectares, becoming the driving force of the province’s socio-economic development.
Of those, resources are prioritized to speed up the implementation of the Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial, Urban, and Service Complex project (in Canh Vinh commune, Van Canh district) with a scale of 1,400 ha and total investment capital of about 3,333 billion VND.
Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee is calling for investment and business cooperation in fields where Korea has strengths such as the production of electronic components, auto ancillary industry, seaport infrastructure, industrial park infrastructure; energy, tourism, hi-tech agriculture, fisheries, livestock, waste treatment, trade and service, etc.
According to Mr. Shon Young Il, Chairman of the Korean Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KOCHAM) in Central and South Vietnam: “If Binh Dinh province expands differentiated policies such as being business-friendly and creating favorable investment conditions such as ensuring a stable workforce, it will greatly help Korean companies who are looking for new investment destinations”, Mr. Shon Young Il emphasized.
According to Mr. Park Noh-wan, Korean Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam, the Korean Embassy will continue to seek cooperation projects suitable to the characteristics of Binh Dinh province and projects in the fields of infrastructure, forestry, agriculture, tourism, education, etc.
Standing Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu said that Binh Dinh province was like a “miniature Vietnam” with lush products, diligent and laborious people… In particular, Binh Dinh has an important strategic position in the socio-economic development of the central key economic region. Along with the strategic vision and high determination of the provincial leaders, Binh Dinh will be a very potential destination for businesses and investors in the world, especially Korean businesses and investors.
In concluding the seminar, Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee Ho Quoc Dung hoped that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, and Korean agencies in Vietnam would support Binh Dinh province in promoting its image, potential, and strength to Korean friends and investors; at the same time, would support Binh Dinh province to promote investment, invite potential investors to invest in Binh Dinh; would support and assist the province in organizing investment promotion events and strengthening the cooperative relationship with Korea, etc.
“Here, all economic sectors are cared for and treated equally, and businesses are all given favorable conditions in accessing the information on mechanisms, policies, planning, investment and business opportunities.”, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung affirmed.
