On November 8, the ceremony of awarding the investment registration certificate for the project “High-tech emulsion and thin-film factory” of KURZ group (Germany) in the Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial, Urban, and Service Complex was held at the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh province.

At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee awarded the Investment Certificate to KURZ Group under the witness of leaders of departments, divisions, branches, and Becamex Binh Dinh JSC. This is an event of great significance. It is not only a high-tech project that the Federal Republic of Germany has trusted and chosen to invest in the province but also opens a new direction in investment promotion for Becamex Binh Dinh JSC – the investor of IP infrastructure business – in particular and for Binh Dinh province in general.

The Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial, Urban, and Service Complex managed by Becamex Binh Dinh JSC, officially started construction on July 29, 2020, located in Canh Vinh commune, Van Canh district, Binh Dinh province. The master plan covers an area of 1,425 hectares, located in subdivision 07 of Nhon Hoi economic zone, which includes 1,000 hectares for the industrial park and 425 hectares for resettlement – residential, commercial – service areas. Becamex Binh Dinh JSC is a member unit of two leading industrial and urban real estate developers in Vietnam, which are Becamex IDC and VSIP Group.

Overcoming difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, thanks to the attention and support of Binh Dinh province, the works of site clearance, infrastructure construction, and completion of the land plot were expeditiously implemented according to the set schedule and handed over to KURZ Group according to the committed roadmap. Besides, Binh Dinh province’s policy to promote administrative procedure reform has shortened the time to carry out the procedures and improved the investment environment, helping to attract FDI enterprises, creating a driving force for socio-economic development.

The “High-tech Emulsion and Thin-film Factory” of KURZ Group in Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh IP with an area of 12 hectares, with a total registered investment capital of 905.2 billion VND (equivalent to 40 million USD), is expected to be completed and put into operation in the second quarter of 2023. When put into operation, the project will provide 15,000,000 m2/year including the following products: decorative films/decals and hot stamping foils; semi-finished materials and lacquers for decorative films/decals and hot-stamping foils, functional films and sensors; related tools and application machines; plastic parts.

The project is expected to be a good start for the strong formation and development of the Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial, Urban, and Service Complex thanks to the outstanding efforts of Binh Dinh Provincial Government, Becamex Binh Dinh JSC and KURZ Group. In the context that the European Union–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) has come into effect, KURZ Group’s project will be a special driving force that opens up great opportunities to attract investors, especially from the Federal Republic of Germany and European Union (EU) countries, to Binh Dinh province. Besides, the world’s leading technology lines and advanced management methods from Europe will also give local workers valuable experience in production and business activities.
